So some geezer likes posting images and videos of himself in cool and exiting places and situations. I sort of get that. If you’re a total nob with nothing better to do and so ‘LOOK AT MEEEEEE’ that you can’t help yourself from standing on the crumbling overhanging precipice on an Alp, or dangling your feet off the clock tower at Big Ben or hanging onto the undercarriage as the aircraft is taking off. And you have to ask yourself: is there a limit to ‘stupid’? Stepping in front of an oncoming train would probably cross that line. Well how about disturbing a sleeping tiger? How does that rate on the ‘stupid as all fuck’ scale? Though apparently the poor man who scaled a 15 foot fence at the Yorkshire Wildlife Centre on the weekend did suffer ‘severe mental illness’. No shit. The tiger killed him. Sad for him. Tragic for his family. And totally irrelevant to the tiger. It won’t have ‘such a guilty conscience’ that he won’t sleep. Sleeping’s what they do best. Other than mauling and biting, now and again. So no charges will be brought.

We have the kids staying with us. The grandkids. Their parents have been declared as ‘unfit for purpose’. Ok, they’re actually sunning themselves in Seville on their annual ‘4 days of TOTAL FUCKING FREEDOMMMM!!!!’, when they ABANDON!!! their children into our care program. And, to be honest, I don’t know why people make a fuss of looking after ‘angels’ like Lila and Joey. Why they deem it hard work. You just have to accept that there are some things which may be ‘challenging’, so you just avoid them. Things like ‘homework’. Eating dinner without running round like loonies. Getting dressed for school. Brushing teeth. Getting undressed for a bath. Going to sleep. Waking (US!!) up after the 7 o’clock watershed. Not behaving like crazed mad people on drugs.

So we avoid those things and all is fine.

The kids haven’t been to school all week, they’re naked and filthy and feral and haven’t left the tv/ipad/computer since Sunday afternoon. We throw food into their cage once in a while and all seems fine.
